I added a lighted Ford blue oval/brake light to the trailer hitch and because of that I lost my side sensing light on the mirrors. It is a 4 prong connector into the trailer lighting receiver, what can I do to keep my light & have the side sensors work? Is the round 13 trailer hitch receiver a solution?

It thinks you have a trailer connected and that’s why the sensors turned off.
I don’t think there is a way around it turning it back on with it plugged in.

Edit: I did add a hitch light from Diode Dynamics which plugs into the backside of the 7 pin connector.
This light has park, brake and reverse.
No issues with any sensors whatsoever and I’ve been running it now for 3 years.

You can’t plug into the receiver, no way around it unfortunately.

how did you get a 7 pin connector when factory stock has 4 pin? Please advise & thank you!
