My ST is less than a year old with 12K+ miles on it. Anyone experiencing a persistent rattle in the tailgate. I sat in the back while someone else drove and the rattle is definitely originating behind the trim panel where the wiper motor resides. Being in warranty, it's going to the dealer where they can fix it. Anyone dealt with this or had it fixed? Another minor irritant is where the phone charger used to reside; anyone experiencing that rubber pad bubbling up in the middle? It's like it needs to be glued down flat?

Mine seemed to have a noise under the trim on the hatch after I did the wiper delete, I assumed it was due to that.
Ended up Cutting a piece of foam to fit the space left after taking out the wiper motor, attached with some 3M tape and it’s been quiet since

I probably shouldn't ask but why would you want to delete the rear wiper? The aerodynamics of the Explorer ensure the rear window stays covered with rain and whatever else when there's inclement weather making it almost impossible to see out of the back. The wiper is the only thing preserving my ability to see what's behind me other than the side mirrors. It this just a cosmetic preference?

Yeah it just looks a lot nicer, I think the wiper is too small to be effective and cleaning my windows with RainX CeramiX makes all the rain fall right off so I’ve never had issues seeing out the back
