Hi guys! Getting ready to upgrade the cooling on my 2024 Explorer ST (currently at 5k miles / 8k km).

I live in a region with very hot summers (100°F+ / 40°C+), so an intercooler upgrade is a must. I'm set on CV Fabrication (Silver core), but debating between two options:

CVF Performance Intercooler only (EXPIC-SV)

CVF Intercooler + Charge Pipes Package (EXPICPKB-SV)

Right now Lethal Performance is running a sale: the Intercooler alone is $100 off, and the Full Package with Charge Pipes is $150 off.

Since the car is almost brand new, are the aftermarket charge pipes worth the extra money even with the bundle discount for a daily driver? Or does the intercooler alone do 90% of the heavy lifting?

Would love to hear your experience with install and throttle response. Thanks!

hey the charge pipes are unnecessary unless you are really going nuts or want to add an aftermarket bov. I noticed no additional lag w the upgraded intercooler but pull after pull after pull you get no heat soak and consistent power.

Thanks a lot, bro!

The main reason I'm considering the full kit with charge pipes is that I plan to switch to a ZFG tune down the road. Because of that potential ZFG upgrade, I was debating whether to just buy the intercooler and pipes together now while they're on sale. Appreciate the input!

There aren’t huge gains with charge pipes, nothing you’ll feel with the butt dyno, money is better spent elsewhere. Just do intercooler.
