From day 1 I have thought that the mid / high end of the B&O system in my 22 is muffled. It's not terrible, but it's always there. I get in my Jeep Wrangler with the top down and the mid/highs seem better (kicker tweeters, etc). Anyway...I don't want to do major surgery. I see that the Infinity speakers seem to play nice with the system. If I was just to do the fronts, what do you recommend.

People say swapping out the speakers won't improve the sound much. I disagree. The OE speakers absolutely suck. I'd replace all 3 in the front doors. Aside from the 6x9, you may not find a good drop-in but it's easy to get the midrange and tweeter to fit. I won't get into picks but choose some high sensitivity drivers to get the most out of the low power from the stock amp. It is also unknown where the crossover frequencies are or to what extent they are crossed over by the stock DSP. I've had to add passive crossover filters when two drivers don't mesh.

On my 2020, had PowerBass 6x9, FaitalPro 3", Kicker 3/4" Ti tweeter.
On my 2026 with 10 speaker B&O, I have FaitalPro 6" and Dayton Audio AMTPOD4.
