Broken dip stick

I changed my plugs and broke my dip stick. Freaking rookie move i know has anyone had this happen how do I remove the broken stick

This may require dropping the oil pan in order to reach the bottom of the dipstick. I don't know a way to grab it from up top unless it is close to the opening.

Also, don't beat yourself up too badly. If you fool around with machines long enough, errors will occur. This is at least correctable.

Yes I drilled a hole and put a screw in it and pulled it out with pliers
