My ST was built on 10-15-19. I have been seeing posts on the build date that say C or some other letter. Were do I find the letter and the build date

Did you mean build date 10-15-20? G code was plant of origin. All 2020 ST were built in Chicago. Oct. 2019 had to be an A code or B

The build date is 10-15-19. I took delivery on 2-29-20. What does the A or B code denote? I will check the VIN when I get back to my house.

Just checked the VIN in Ford Pass and it looks like may be a B code.

I believe each letter denotes 100,000 explorer units, not just STs. If your date code is B, it is one of the second 100,000 explorers built. The thinking was the more ford built the better chance they had worked out most of the new platform bugs. Maybe true, maybe not but my C code has 9k trouble free miles, other than throwing an erroneous code here and there.

Thanks for all the information. I have about 5,000 miles on it to date and no major problems. Just a couple small things here and there. Hope it continues that way. Love the SUV and the performance.

The date on the sticker is not accurate. That is the date the window sticker was generated, not when the vehicle is built. The sticker is usually generated up to a few days before the actual build. You need an ETIS report from ford to get the actual build date. On my mustang, the window sticker has a date of 12/13/2016 but the ETIS report says 12/19/2016 a full six days later.

06-04-20 window sticker and VIN has a C. Zero issues in 15,000 miles with Whipple intercooler, ZFG E50 tune, UPR catch can, H&R springs and Magnaflow exhaust. That may change in the next few months when it gets the Fenfab DP's, CR Stage 5 Turbos, Nostrum HPFP and injectors with either E85 straight or E60, AFE cai and whatever else comes along.
