New vehicle, found a part - should I be concerned?

Hello ExplorerST forumers,

Need help finding a home for this mystery part, please. According to the interwebs, it is a cap but where does it go on the Explorer? Found it in the passenger side door well (below the armrest). No holes on the door panel. It is about 1-1/8" wide x 2-1/8" long x 1/2" deep (excluding the 'basket handle').
