Well for those who knows me, I’m a FORScan guru between the F-150s and Explorers from 2021+! I've got good news for those who's been waiting for amber LED bar in drive especially in night time; can use the fog lights at the same time!

All while keeping everything the same and low beams being used at night when needed! Does not interfere the current operation AND YES, on civilian headlights! No interceptor headlights swap needed!

Stay tuned, putting together a detailed how-to! Plus side… very easy to do! :sneaky::devilish:

Adding to this post, I will need 1-2 people to be testers for me before I make the post live this week! If interested, please shoot me a DM! Please make sure you are quick and prompt with replies on here as I'd like to get the post posted up as soon as possible!

FORScan is required for this; registered and must be active, ready to go!

Thanks!

I'm new to the Explorer ST game, and I really want to learn, what's the best FORSCAN source material to learn from?

That detailed how to is going to be a lifesaver. Still will probably get the weekly “how to get interceptor amber DRL” posts still somehow ;-)

Haha this will be a little different but close! Again, hardware limitations are causing a issue with civilian headlights but I got it as close as I can! Just won't be the same but almost!

Writeup completed!

Hi,

can you also provide the steps needed to do this on the Interceptor as well please?
We don’t have the white DRL so not sure if my steps are different?

I did the amber drl code modification, and they work during daylight hours. I like that.

But……my fog lights no longer work. Was it a fair trade off? Yes, I guess. But, changing it back to factory settings did not restore the fog lights.

I changed it back to amber drl, so that’s something.

You sure your foglights don't work? They only work under the following circumstances per owners manual:

You can switch the front fog lamps on if any of the following occur:
  • You set the lighting control to the parking lamps position.
  • You set the lighting control to the headlamps position.
  • You set the lighting control to the autolamps position and the headlamps are on.
