This one is definitely more reactive than what I’ve seen in other models. In the past, the range estimate seemed to be based more on your average from the last fill-up, but this one adjusts constantly based on current driving. That’s fine—it actually seems to do its job pretty well. When I first got the car, it was mostly city driving until I took it on a highway trip. After filling up, it showed 320 miles to empty, which I knew couldn’t be right. But during the first 80 miles of the trip, the range climbed a bit, then held steady around 330 miles to empty for another 60 miles. It was kind of funny to watch.
When I fill up, my first drive to work (22 miles one-way) uses only a fraction of those miles to empty.
