I used the mirror tap on my new Valentine. The cover pries off with a little effort and there are diagrams somewhere in the ST forums that show where to connect. It only took a few minutes and it leaves the OBD port free. I used a rat tail file and made a little groove in the edge of the cover to keep from crushing the wires. I also used a Blendmount bracket to keep the Valentine up close to the mirror.

Can you share how you routed the wire to the OBD port? Specifically if it's underneath or just "tucked" and then how it looks where the wire enters near the unit and then also enters near the OBD port. I am just wondering how clean the wiring solution looks. The mount solution looks great. I have an old escort passport 9500 series and I am debating the V1 gen 2 with SAVVY as I don't want to have to use any kind of app. I am wondering if I might be better off even getting the 360c if I don't have intentions to use the app? I just don't want to have to remember to boot up an app every time I get in the car and when I do have my phone out I have it on another app for live streaming CNBC.
