ST 10r60 tranny.

Why did Ford used the 10R60 transmission in the ST while the Aviator gets the 10R80 and can tow 6800 lbs to the ST 5600 lbs. I guess it the bean counters.

From what I can tell, only the hybrid models have the 10R80, wether they are the explorer or aviator.

The Lincoln.com shows the Aviator with the 10R80 and it can tow 6800lbs.
