Question on Tunes…

Ran across this in one of the other posts and need some clarification (thanks Loki)…

Order of Power on the ST most to least on different fuels using ZFG as the tuning source:

E85(Aftermarket Pump like XDI) - otherwise Stock
E50(Stock Pump) - slightly slower 0-60, maybe a 10th, but several 10ths in the 1/4, due to cooling.
E85(Stock Pump) - few 100ths faster than a 93 tune 0-60, but a little more than a 10th in the 1/4
93 Tuned
93 Stock(There is 10-15 HP to be had running 93 over 87 on the Stock Tune)
87 Stock

Question #1: I am reading this to state that our ST’s can run E85 fuel without the upgraded pump… is this true? We would just get much more power with the upgrade?

Question #2: Can I do the E50 tune with a non-ethanol 91 or 93 octane pump gas? I drove past a few stations yesterday and they are all E0 unless it is 87 octane or E85/E10? What is the mix ratio?

Question 3: If I am using 91 E0 and mixing with E85 will that still make more power than the 93 E0 octane tune? I assume yes but want to verify.

sorry if these were covered elsewhere, just want to make sure I don’t F things up.

#1 Yes you can with a specific tune for it but E50 will make more power with the stock pump.

#2 Yes you can mix with E0 fuel but it usually cost more than using E10 fuel as a base. For the mix ratio you need the E85 Mix app…don’t guess at it.

#3 Yes

Thanks Unbroken! So if my station has E85, E10, and 91 would I mix the 91/E85 or the E10/E85 for the best E50 mix?

Also what calculator do you use to calculate your E50 blend?
