Hey guys quick question as I am confused with this.
What is the name of the pipe coming from the actual intake to the intercooler.
The stock pipe looks very restrictive with its down sized restrictions in some places.

Does it in fact "need" to be replaced, will there be a benefit to replacement?
Looking for some answers from the well-versed people on the forum.
Thanks in advance.

Like most if the other stock parts, that tube is fine unless your get a custom tune. That's where you might see a slight difference.

I cut mine apart and measured the cross section area where it’s pinched down…that area was still larger than the inlet at the IC.
Does it make a difference? Probably not.
Does it look cool under the hood if you’re trying to not be embarrassed at a local car show? Absolutely. I have tons of unnecessary stuff under the hood just for that reason alone. lol

Cold-side charge pipe.
