Long winded so beware...

Hi all my name is Taylor and I just pulled the trigger on a 2021 Star White Metallic ExpST a couple weeks ago, and I must say, this thing is AWESOME!! Now a little background on me, first off I've always been a devoted Ford guy, had at least 9 trucks, four of which were Lightnings( two gen 1 and two 2's) just sold the last one in 19' that I had for over 12 yrs w/ right around 52,000mi. and of course Mustangs! I've had a few, and the one in the stable currently is the keeper...(03' Silver Metallic Terminator Cobra 10th Anni with just over 10k miles and 700whp, it's a good time to say the least) so needless to say convincing myself to get damn Explorer, an SUV!!, was was tough for me, but I had already fallen in love .. But even as great as it is, it still could be better. Today I just received the first batch of "improvements".. Got in the rest of my weathertech order, which is right in time as it's supposed to rain for the next few days here in Houston, also got a package from H&R, Steeda and can't wait to get them in. Hopefully this weekend, I've already checked with the wife and she says it's a go! The Bora spacers will be here when they get here...

Other passions/hobbies are family, my dogs, guns, knives, bikes, rc, and of course wrenching or "refining" all of my toys

Thanks for reading and I look forward to getting to know you guys!

-Taylor

Next week it's supposed to be nice so I'll get some then and hopefully if I get off my ass this weekend I'll have the springs and sway in for a comparison...

Thanks Jim! Star White is def the fastest color..lol

So, for a little update on my ST. Last weekend I installed springs sway bar and did alignment at my buddies shop. I was going to attempt to do it all on the floor on jack stands and I must say that would of been miserable! luckily he had an open lift on Sunday and three of us had it knocked out in roughly 3.5 hrs, less the alignment.. so fast forward to yesterday, it was beautiful out for the first time in a while so I did a nice wash/detail in the driveway and about an hour later my spacers finally arrived!! and before the FedEx driver even left the neighborhood they were in and I must say, it made a huge difference. It really tied the look all together. as far as handling, feels much more planted w/ very little to no oversteer. so onto the pictures...

I love how these SUVs look and handle with just a slight drop. It totally transforms the ride. Congrats on the new new ST!

Great pics man. Thanks for sharing. What size spacers did you use? did you have to take off any of the length of the bolt?

Thanks! They are 1.25" spacers and do not require any trimming. I believe it's when they're any thinner than that you will need to trim the studs. I think that's what I've read on this forum and it was the same w/ my 2013 F-150 FX4 but 1.25" did not fit my spare. Maybe someone can verify whether or not the ST spare will fit the 1.25 spacers.

Thanks!

Absolutely! I only used the middle hole for the sway bar and it made a noticeable difference.

Lol! I couldn't resist the the firmest setting, everyone needs to be able to take 90* turns at 40, right...haha

thanks brother! I'm loving this little SUV! so fun to drive. I think I like it's cornering abilities/steering feel the most so far. As long as you're in the throttle around a sweeper, this thing just eats!! this may change though once I get up the nerve to tune this little beast
