Just purchased this beast 2 days ago. 2020 Explorer ST in beautiful Star White Metallic. Package includes Premium Tech and Street Pack. I traded my 2018 Focus ST in Oxford White and loved that car. Minor bolt ons and tube made it a fun daily but space was limited.

First fill up with 87. Wasn’t sure what to put in it as my Focus ran on 93. Pleased to see with a quick google search that 87 is from factory. Also decided to wipe down the armor all mess that the dealership left in the interior with Chemical Guys interior cleaner. Much better looking and no more greasy mess.

Well looks like I have that dreaded flex pipe rattle issue. Sounds like a trip to the dealership is in my future, also need to get the camera recall blue screen updated.

Congratulations on your purchase. I am not going to make any negative comments, as we love our ST. That said, just a few issues to keep you informed. You will have a slight rattle upon start up. I believe this is normal. If it hasn't been done already, most 2020's will need the left side catalytic converter and driver's seat trim replaced. Have fun.

When getting in and out of the ST there is too much pressure being applied to the plastic trim panel where the controls are housed. Eventually the panel will come loose and may just sort of hang there if not fixed.

You can run your Ex ST on 87 but you will be down on power. The advertised 400 hp is on 91 octane.

Got any corn juice in your area? ZFG tunes can handle up to an E-30 mix.
