Hey I just ordered exhaust and downpipe and realized I may be unlucky and have gpf. Can you guys tell from the sticker and pics underneath the car? Sorry they’re a little dark thank you!

Looks like the rumors may be true that the explorer is now getting a GPF and answers the question as to why they are now rated for 385HP.

Still speculation on my part, but more evidence that this might be the case.

My CVF DPs are being delivered today and I just crawled under my 26 in a panic, I'm lucky - my 26 doesn't have them. Thank you, Jesus.

So what does this mean for an aftermarket exhaust like Thermal?

Because it's to meet EPA demands, no aftermarket exhaust mfg or tuner is going to want to get rid of it without being in serious trouble.

50CalLabz: when is your build date? this really sucks!

WHat's your build date on your door sticker? Before April I assume?

Yeah I’m bummed. It’s hard to tell by looking under the car. Not really sure what I’m looking for. I’ll check for that build date tomorrow

If the pics you first posted are your car, you seem to have them. Mine had nothing like that after the stock downpipes/cats.

It’s very easy to tell. Look for the round muffler shaped things with heat shields around them and tubing coming out of them. It’s literally your third picture.

Looks like thermal is looking into new exhaust for these now.

Yeah I spoke to thermal and looking forward to to that. Going to install the cvfab intercooler and downpipe next week. I spoke to the guys at cvfab and they said their downpipe will be fine with the gpf. Can you guys confirm that?
