Dark horse grill guard

Has anyone put a dark horse grill guard on their ST? If so, how did you get it on? Our problem is the L bracket attached to the frame. We can get it on one side but not the other. Also, does it mess with the self-driving mode once installed?
I really appreciate any help you can provide.
