2020 Explorer ST seat issue

Side panel on front passenger seat that has the electric seat controls is broken. Plastic bracket that holds plastic panel to seat snapped for no apparent reason.
Mall of Georgia Ford service is telling me my only option is to replace the entire seat. This makes no sense to me….a simple piece of plastic trim requires an entire seat replacement???
Any suggestions?

eBay has ton of replacement parts. I replaced mine and it was only about $30

Try another dealer. That sounds like bull.

It's not uncommon for the clips to break. You can get one off eBay or from a Ford parts supplier for under $100.
