General Information
So I finally bought a Ford Explorer ST, this is the EU version so not quite the same. Love the car though. Here's some info about the differences:
Engine
Basically same TT V6 engine but slightly downtuned to 363 PS (probably to handle EU-emissions standards). Added electric motor of 104 PS as a parallel hybrid system. The electric motor is integrated into the 10-speed hybrid transmission, with a disconnect clutch between the V6 and the motor/transmission assembly. Combined 457 PS with 825 Nm torque.
Transmission
EU version gets hybrid modified 10R80 transmission.
Equipment
EU ST version comes standard with High Package, Moonroof, Premium Tech Pack, Co-pilot360 Assist+ and Heated/cooled/massage seats.
Wheels
20" as standard...
Plans for upgrades:
- 22" wheels
- Rear Sway bar
- Diff brace
- Intercooler
- Tune
- Extra lights inside grill for long dark winter roads
- Front bar
- Mud guards
- Floor mats
- Tinted windows (except front which is illegal in Sweden)
- Some little things
