Driver seat “clicking” - Driving me nuts!

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to post some info. My wifes Aviator does the same thing and the PN for the trim and rails are the same as the Explorer. Tonight I removed the two-piece trim (contemplated throwing it in the trash) and shook around in the seat - nothing. I'm going to try...

    Flex Fuel

I recently learned about this company, Advanced Fuel Dynamics from a guy in one of my hot rod circles who was using this module on a single turbo build of his to gain flex fuel capability. The ProFlex Commanders are apparently pretty popular on vehicles who's ECUs don't support an ethanol sensor...

    Spark Plug Heat Range

Funny enough, I run TR6s on my Procharged LS with gap closed up a little. Makes killer power. When I tuned my Aviator, it was recommended to go to NGK LTR7BHXs on a .028 gap. I did that prior to tuning it, ran fine. After tuning, it still ran fine. I didn't like that that it was such a high...

    Ford Performance Tune

The FP tune only gets you in the 13s? That's super disappointing for the cost.

    Intercooler Install

Just installed the CVF intercooler on my wife's Aviator. Following the FSM, it was actually a pretty easy job. Lost of steps but it all made sense and was easy to do. Only needed help moving the bumper away from the car. Results were killer. IATs were exactly ambient during a few 2-4 hits.

    Single Turbo kit

After doing plugs and intake, I'm super interested in just eliminating half of the piping in front of the motor!

    Possible tune

This isn't definitive, but is auto start stop permanently disabled?

    Ford Performance Tune

Ford can do all this stuff, but they won't. It's all a numbers game. They won't consume engineering resources over trying to stiff a customer a couple thousand dollar repair. It ends up being a net loss for them. I have another example, my wife's old 2014 SRT Grand Cherokee. At 30k miles, its...

    Ford Performance Tune

Can't win them all, happy to share experience where I can.

    Ford Performance Tune

Our local dealer is really lax with tunes. My dads tuned Expedition has been in for a failed diff and failed trans. Tuned at 10k miles, had the diff replaced around 30k and valvebody swapped at 35k. Truck runs awesome and Ford has been great to deal with.

    'Worthwhile' bolt-ons

Not concerned with warranty at all. I've always got a few junk cars I can shuffle around while I de-mod for those visits. I've got a lift and low IQ, I'm all set.

    'Worthwhile' bolt-ons

Also thanks everyone for the input, this is super helpful.

    'Worthwhile' bolt-ons

Quick question, you mention an intake and CAI separately. What do you mean by intake? Hot side piping?

    'Worthwhile' bolt-ons

I don't want to say I'm down with diminished returns but I've built a few got rods in my day and definitely see value where maybe there isn't so much lol Bring a 6 cylinder, I'm not hell bent on having exhaust. If it frees up next to no power, I'll pass on it. Intake and downpipes aren't...

    'Worthwhile' bolt-ons

I've been doing a bunch of reading, both here and the facebook groups and I'm trying to sift thru what mods I should do to my ST prior to getting it tuned. Targeting 'full bolt on'. From what I've seen, and correct me if I'm wrong, downpipes and intercooler are a no-brainer for more power. I...
