    PIU struts/shocks

Do you have a link to the post where someone measured a brand new PIU with no accessories installed versus a ST? I'm not convinced it's weight related. But before we start, let's agree on some assumptions. Because the PIU shocks are more dampened, we can assume that the PIU springs have...

    PIU struts/shocks

I think they are different. The ride heights between an ST and PIU are very different.

    PIU struts/shocks

I asked earlier in the thread because I was curious as well.

    Expected discount off of 2023s?

Has Ford ended manufacturer support for the 2023 Explorers?

    2025 Ford Explorer Order Guide

So I was recommending my mom to buy the 2025 Ford Explorer ST as her replacement car but the increase of $5,000 puts the MSRP of the 2025 Ford Explorer ST within $5,000 of the MSRP of the new Lexus GX550 Premium. She really wants a Lexus. The case for the 2025 Explorer ST was really strong...

    2025 Ford Explorer Order Guide

Okay I'm glad I wasn't the only person that noticed. I guess I will just hold off on ordering one until their incentives increase by the same amount as their price did in order to zero each other out.

    2025 Ford Explorer Order Guide

Is it me or does it seem like the Build and Price configurator price for a 2025 Explorer ST has increased over the past 2 months?

2024 Ford Explorer Refresh Fully Revealed

I don't need a subscription service - just let me tether or access the service via my phone.

    Trunk money ?

A 2023 might as well be considered a used car when the 2025 is available for ordering at this point.

    Blown Transmission

There's no way a tuner knows more about a platform than the manufacturer. Just because a tuner can extract more power from a powertrain without an immediate failure doesn't mean the tuner knows more about the platform. The same could be said of the F30 335i / F80 M3 crowd. (I have a F30...

    Blown Transmission

Moral of the story for others: If you're not willing to go out of pocket for major powertrain repairs, then don't tune your vehicle in the warranty period.

2025 Explorer Teaser Ahead of Tomorrow's Reveal

I'm not paying that much for a subscription service unless it completely drives itself all the time while I play with my balls.

    Blown Transmission

This is why I really don't want to introduce aftermarket parts during the warranty period. You give excuses for some of these dealership clowns not to perform and cover work under the original factory warranty.

    ST vs. The Competition

BMW completely under-rates their engines. Their advertised rating is closer to what the vehicle is making at the wheels and not the crank. Also, the 2024 BMW X5 40i has much more power than the quoted post above reflects. BMW rates it at 375hp, not 335 hp.

    2025 Ford Explorer Order Guide

It would make sense for OEMs to design systems that can connect and tether off your cell phone. I really don't want to be compelled into paying for some subscription service which is essentially another cell phone plan.

2025 Explorer Teaser Ahead of Tomorrow's Reveal

I don't have a Ford Explorer, but that's the conclusion that I've already made. The platform has already been "proofed out" from severe duty use as a first responder vehicle. One could say that some of the European SUVs have better handling/street performance, but the repair costs are...

    PIU struts/shocks

I don't understand why Bilstein doesn't make a B6/B8 strut/shock for the Explorer. It's one of the most popular vehicles in its segment.

Engine replaced at less than 20k miles

Is there a service bulletin for the underlying issue? It's strange that the replacement motor would have a problem as well.

    2024 Explorer ST order

It's not clear which "performance brake" package this would be equivalent to in the 2020-2024 Ford Explorer ST.
