Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

Exact same part. The aviator shares it. Hoping it lasts me about 15k miles before rattling too bad

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

Figured I’d post an update. Tried reaching out to the dealer for a few days straight no call backs. Instead of going through the waiting/drop off game, I decided to see if buying a new LH flex pipe would help. Had to look around since they’re apparently on a long backorder, but got one locally...

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

Did they say they would also cover the flex pipes under that same emissions warranty? I think they only replace the cat along with its hardware

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

Appreciate the info and you sending that video, definitely more intense than I would’ve thought. After getting the ST up on ramps and getting under it with a partner to rev, it really sounds like the chirping noise is coming from right behind the cat to midpipe clamp on low rpm acceleration and...

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

Well I got my ST back today after 5 days and LH and RH catalytic converter replacements. After my 30 min drive home, when I started slowing down, I started hearing a chirping noise coming from the cat area. It’s crazy loud under load and while revving. Never made any sort of noise like this...

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

Correct. After arguing with the service director for about 30 min, ended up throwing that out there about the 80k mile. Only left cat covered through ford recall, but they will do the right one through the federal recall.

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

The bulletin is only showing LH cat, but you got both replaced through the same recall? Struggling speaking with service director since the 21E11 bulletin only shows the right hand cat being replaced for “police” versions of the 3.0. The bulletin they’re printing out looks different than the...

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

Thanks so much, that’s just what I needed. Got an appt scheduled for early next week. Hoping they replace both

    New recall?

Was yours replaced through the 36k bumper to bumper warranty or the 60k powertrain? I have cracked welds on both DPs and only have the 60k powertrain left. Is there a recall I can bring to them since this is a common issue and exhaust technically isn’t covered in powertrain?

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

Just bought my 2020 ST about 3 weeks ago. It has 41k miles so just the 60k powertrain warranty left. I bought from a non-franchise dealer, and before purchasing I brought it to a Ford dealer to get it Pre-Purchase Inspected. They did the inspection no problem and only found a couple minor...
