What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

2023 knocking suspension from new. Ordered front struts, strut mounts, strut bearings, related replacement bolts/nuts, front stabilizer links and nuts. This is step one to avoid dealership debacle trying to troubleshoot knocking sound. This way I can proceed installing these new items with new...

Is Ford still performing the EPB auto engagement "fix" for the rear bolt fracture recall?

I have the Auto Parking Brake on my new 2023. It hasn't caused me any issues. I did shut the reverse assist off as the only thing that assists in doing is to help you fill your diaper :ROFLMAO: when it engages unexpectedly.

    Tramlining; weird issue.

Ask them "How much trade-in value can you give me?"

Rusty Half Shafts on 5 Day Old New 2024 ST

And the answer Ford will give: Weathering steel definition: steels that are chemically formulated to develop a protective patina layer – rust-like in appearance – that eliminates the need for paint. The dense oxide patina layer of weathered steel seals it off from the atmosphere. If a weathered...

    Sound coming from odometer screen

Could be the hood opening handle rattling against the foot well trim. Sounds like the plastic screen near the odometer but actually is the handle. Listened to that for years in the 2020 ST until I tracked it down.

    Eibach Lowering Springs

Some long time Eibach users mentioned the Eibach's they used in the past sagged over time. So they were not choosing them this time. H&R seems to be the most popular.

    Ford Performance Exhaust

Unknown. It could even have the Borla Atak internals. You would have to ask Borla.

    Ford Performance Exhaust

Actually different exhaust tips. Borla S type shown below. Single wall with rolled edge versus the double wall of the Ford version. Sound is a little more raspy on the Ford exhaust.

    Surprise to us!

Spent a lot of time in Minot in the past. Lived across the border in Sask. but moved to Kansas years ago. H&R springs and Thermal R&D 2.5 inch exhaust is pretty much the norm. Search for H&R versus Steeda spring writeup in this forum. If your not going to road race your ST then get the H&R...

SLD Thermal R&D 3" Polished Exhaust Tips - New Style

They fit on the 3" outlet pipe on the Thermal R&D mufflers near the raer bumper. If they were black I would take them to a fabrication shop and have the guy band saw off the 3" inlet and weld on whatever size inlet needed in 304 stainless steel. I originally purchased black ones to do this. I...

    Water in driver footwell

If someone changed the battery or windshield it could be the improper reinstallation of the large plastic cowl trim at the base of the windshield allowing water to leak in by the cabin air filter and end up on the passenger floor area. Make sure the trim is tight against the whole length of the...
