You seem like one of the most knowledgable folks on here, so I'll ask the question - do you know if the FP tune will negate the Ford Premium Care ESP warranty? Have a 7 year, 100k and both Ford Protect and Ford Performance keep directing me to one another to get a definitive answer. TYSM!

For today's entertainment value, I had spoken with my service rep at local dealer (where my steed has been sitting for 116 days and counting waiting on a rear axle cover due to broken bolt) about installing the Ford Performance Tune. I get it's not panacea HP wise and I'm leering of lurking...

Update - no ETA still on rear axle cover ... steed is rotting away in a dealer lot, two plus months running now.

For edification sake, my 2020 was great (but for the blue backup screen which was ultimately fixed after a failed software reset attempt) until I ran into the mysterious rear axle debacle at 38k miles. I love my ST and just want it back on the road and in my hands. 2 months in a lesser quality...

Update - Ford has outsourced 4,000 rear axle covers (I was mistakenly told it was a rear diff cover at first ... apologies, no my strong suit). See below. They are starting to ship 200 a week starting November 7th. 20 week run.

Mine is a 2020 so I'm a 4 bolt guy.

Update part# L1MZ*4033*C is one we can’t get.

This is the latest on my car which has been at the dealer since august over this and is undrivable. “Happy Monday!!! Or something like that...lol. Yes and no. So still hasn't shipped yet. Parts manager looked into it again and they actually had to branch off to an alternate supplier for these...

I'll try to get a parts list. If you look at the rear diff area under the car where the fractured bolts are appearing, you'll see the "cover" so they tell me. I'm not car smart (flew jets, couldn't fix 'em to save my life). But it's that "cover" or casing / cover that the bolts are holding in...

Anyone else dealing with / waiting for a rear diff cover like myself? T+ 6 weeks now and no updates from Ford ... simply no ETA / backorder.

OMG - thank you so much! Exactly. Have to lift foot and then stomp on the brake to stop. I’ll be sure to have them follow your bulletin. I have another related and or unrelated issue of a hard click and lurch when going from P to R they’re addressing. They thought this was part of that as well...
