    AFE Momentum-Remove plastic cover

Understood, and thanks for the additional context! 200* under the hood is a lot higher than I would have thought!

    AFE Momentum-Remove plastic cover

I get the downside of higher intake temps...but what I'm asking is does air from the engine bay really matter considering the heat from the turbos? Is the intake air temp sensor before or after the intercooler? I have no intention of doing this mod, I'm just curious about the technical impact...

    AFE Momentum-Remove plastic cover

Disclaimer: I don't care. Is the the air temp in the engine bay really a concern when that air is going to pass through your rather warm turbos on its way to the engine anyway?

Best tire size for police interceptor rims

Good luck with that. I bought the center caps last year and almost nobody had them, and those that did were charging like $75/ea.

Best tire size for police interceptor rims

I used the factory nuts without modifying them, and didn't have any issues with the center caps.

    True or not?

If I were in your shoes, and the nail wasn't in the sidewall, I'd plug it myself and replace the tires when they're due. This has been my strategy for 30+ years and I've never had a plug fail, not even the stabby strips.

Thanks, I'll see what I can find that's similar.

    HPTuners RTD+ Sync Issues

I've heard only good things about Cobb/GooseTuned! I got through my issues but if I ever make a change you'll be my first stop for sure.

    creeky rear springs/sway bar

I've had my Steeda bar on for about 2 years and it doesn't squeak. That'd drive me crazy for sure.

Which tips are those? That's exactly what I'm looking for.

    New member from up north

Cleetus McFarland put those on a TRX this week and I was thinking they'd look good on an ST. Turns out I was right (imo, of course)!

    HPTuners RTD+ Sync Issues

I've been doing a little more troubleshooting, trying different settings on the phone to no avail. One thing I noticed is every time I'd try to sync the logs it would start at a slightly higher % than the previous attempt. I just did it about 15 times in a row and it finally succeeded. Good...

Lowering Springs: Lethal, Eibach, Steeda, H&R PROS and CONS

Coming up on 2 years with H&R springs and I'm as happy now as I was on day 1. I like the even drop and that they're not super stiff so it still rides nice when going straight. In the turns the Steeda sway bar does its job, though after seeing some of the pics around here I need to start...

    HPTuners RTD+ Sync Issues

Thanks for the feedback, guys! It definitely seems like it's an issue with my phone. It's both my work and personal device and since my original tune/data log, my work added Mobile Device Management to the mix and that could be interfering. I have the tablet so I'll just use that going forward...

    HPTuners RTD+ Sync Issues

I set up a test access point 10' from the car and no luck. Installed the TDN app on my Android tablet and it worked on the first try. I guess that tablet is my default tuning device now.

    HPTuners RTD+ Sync Issues

Thanks, I'll try it again and make sure I don't have Bluetooth or wi-fi connected devices active.

    HPTuners RTD+ Sync Issues

I'll probably try to open a support case about this but I figured I'd ask the explorerst.org brain trust as well.... I've consistently had issues with the TDN app and RTD+, particularly with reading the vehicle; fails 100% of the time with the stock tune, and syncing files; which is 50/50 with...

Police interceptor headlights in Civilian ST

It looks like there are several variations of the piu headlamp (level 2 - level 7?) and I can't figure out what the difference is between them. They're also like $1100 each, so I won't be the guinea pig lol.

    Timberline Skid plate

I just ordered using (mostly) points. My fabric sheild got ripped off a few months ago and I haven't wanted to spend the money to replace it, but $9.95 of actual money to replace it with a metal shield seemed like a fantastic option. We'll see if it ever shows up!
