Chapman Ford in Horsham Pa told me the same thing today

I just got a notification from Ford that the part was available to be installed by my dealer on my late Sept delivery.

I'll be happy as long as they plan to install these when available. My dealer wasn't so certain, but he was going to ask their Ford rep. Rear climate and heated seats controls to be installed at a later date.

We aren't too far off on order dates. My order date was 2/28 and mine has just shipped with an expected arrival date around 9/6 at the dealership.

I'm just trying to figure out what is being installed vs. not installed exactly. For example, are the heating elements and wiring already installed in the seats and it is only a matter of plugging in the controller module faceplate at a later time? Same with the rear seat controls? I've seen...

It's probably a combination of things. I ordered without the moonroof as well on 2/28 and it hasn't even been scheduled yet.

Wow, I ordered on 2/28 and it still hasn't even been scheduled. It must be dealer allocations that drive the difference between some of these dates, otherwise it appear so random.

Thanks, that's what I am hoping will be the case as I placed a 2022 order on 2/28. As long as they intend to pop the module into that space once the parts become more readily available.

Congrats....are they supposed to give you the rear seat controls once the parts are available? That plastic plug in the rear console looks so cheap on a $60k performance SUV.

Dodge/Ram has been cranking out the trucks lately. They don't seem to have the same delays right now.

They don't, in the case being mentioned...the dealer sold him the Explorer after the stop-sale date...so, the dealer is potentially a bit exposed for not abiding by the process.

Hopefully, they go back to the previous design for new builds going forward...it might be a benefit for those of us still awaiting their order to be scheduled!
