    Moonroof initialization failure

I rarely use my moonroof and wonder if lack of use can cause stickiness in the seals and affect the operation of parts movement. I'm waiting for more replies before attempting any repairs. I have an extended warranty and will call a service advisor for advice.

    Moonroof initialization failure

This is different than the Explorer 2020 procedure, but I'll give it a try later. Thanks for the reply Wafer Tech.

    Moonroof initialization failure

I tried opening my moonroof a few days after having latest recall and tire pressure monitor sensors replaced, also oil pan and transfer case seals replaced. I'm not sure if recent service performed had anything to do with my moonroof failing to close completely do to loss of memory. My moonroof...

Tpms relearn 2020 ford explorer st / black wheel

My first TPMS went bad after 5 years and a few months. The dealer service advisor told me it was covered by my extended warranty but it would cost me $100 deductible. I decided to wait until all four sensors went bad so it would only cost $100 for all four to be replaced. After waiting about 4...

    Cracked Front Camera Lens

Well I replaced the front camera in my garage yesterday and was expecting a blue screen or error message after completion, but no, it worked fine just like new. The Ford service advisor told me I would have to come in and have it initialized after installing a new replacement. Did I get lucky...

    Cracked Front Camera Lens

The front bumper assembly has to be removed to the point it pivots down to access the camera. I watched a number of videos to remove the bumper assembly and plan on doing this in my garage. I found OEM cameras online for less than $100. Thanks for the reply Chamorro85.

    New 2023 Just bought today

Congratulations on your new ST, the picture is beautiful. I still love mine after 4 years, paid off last month. Looking for the second set of tires after 39K miles.

    Pirelli tires

I'm very happy with the Pirelli tires that came with my 2020 ST. They have 39K on them with no problems except one has a very slow leak, about 3 pounds of pressure a week. I'm beginning to shop for new Pirelli tires that are on special at my Ford dealer till the end of March with a $100 rebate...

    Cracked Front Camera Lens

This just happened to my ST, I'm assuming the camera lens was hit by a small rock while driving the highway. Did you get your camera repaired yet? If so, what was the cost?

    Rear camera recall.

I returned to the Ford dealership for the completion of the rear camera recall, software update, and everything checked out fine. Never had a blue screen problem and I hope it stays that way.

    Rear camera recall.

I'm not getting the blue screen either, but the service advisor said errors were preventing the new software from loading with the new rear camera that is still working ok anyway. I never had a blue screen problem ever.

    Rear camera recall.

Took my 2020 ST in for the 36K maintenance and Recall issues. The door switches sharp chrome tip replacement, 22N17 Recall, was not a problem, but the Rear camera Recall 23S23 was not completed due to software upgrade not completed because of errors. Service advisor stated they are waiting for...

This thread helped me, now my wife is very happy the rattle is gone. I did not have to jack up my Explorer to get to the repair. Removing the old worthless plastic nuts and replacing them with stainless steel nuts and washers I bought at The Home Depot. Now I have to find the wind noise from...

Problem with locking and unlocking when touching door handle.

ChasBG, I am very impressed with your expertise in repairing this annoying faulty door locking issue. You are most likely correct that an assembly person failed to snap the connector completely closed.

Problem with locking and unlocking when touching door handle.

Sorry to hear about your unresolved issues. Maybe your son could look into the Ford technical database for more information. Good luck with this.

Problem with locking and unlocking when touching door handle.

I had this problem, among other anomalies until Ford finally replaced the 12 volt battery. I installed a hardwired 2amp NOCO battery tender. Most of my trips are short drives and it's back in the garage, lift the hood and plug in the battery tender. I noticed it take less time to fully charge...
