    Explorer ST/Timberline Part Swap

I have not yet installed the differential in the car so I am not yet 100% certain it works but I am fairly confident it will fit. For others I dont think this swap is a good idea though since it would be easier to get a Timberline diff once they become available on the used market.

    Explorer ST/Timberline Part Swap

The number of the splines for the halfshafts is the same. After pressing on the new bearings and fitting the carrier into the housing with the correct shim thickness and preload the differential looks like this. My Explorer has a gear ratio of 3.31 as seen on the tags below. Sticker on the...

I took the gamble and ordered the Torsen for the 15 to 21 Mustang. I have the 8.8 diff. The issue is that its sitting on my shelf and I currently have no time to check if it fits and install it. I will probably be able to do it in a week or two.

    Removal of 3rd seat row

When you look at my first picture you can see there is a height difference between the middle part and the stronger side structures with the holes for mounting the third seat row. The height difference between those two levels is slightly more than an inch. My floor rests at the higher section...

    Removal of 3rd seat row

Got the car recently and found the ascending nature of the already high load floor annoying so I decided to remove the third row of seats. While at it I lined the spare wheel area with additional sound deadening and installed a custom cargo floor made out of 3mm thick stainless steel. This...
