    Downpipes

I have the CVF DP’s and am 100% satisfied with the. No odd vibrations or anything like that either.

PSA for those with Aftermarket Exhaust

Mods: please delete this if I’m breaking any rules by cross-posting to another forum, but at least it’s not ST-related and hopefully helps. Anyway, Borla covered adding weep holes to Mustang exhausts here. Nothing really new from what we’ve already discussed here, but I thought it could be...

PSA for those with Aftermarket Exhaust

Hmm, I haven’t actually driven it yet since the change, but my wife has taken it for a few spins. She said it seemed like the ST had a few less pops and crackles. She could just be imagining that though as it seems hard to believe ~8 ounces of water in each muffler would really change the tone...

PSA for those with Aftermarket Exhaust

Thanks all for the input. I drilled two weep holes in the mufflers and drained just over 15 fluid ounces from the exhaust. Pics attached, and I promise it’s not pee.

Install tips for front brake line replacement?

I’m considering doing a set of RacingBrake front braided brake lines as part of the GT500 front brake upgrade on my ST. I’ve read a few anecdotal mentions of the soft line to hard lines fittings being a real PITA, but I haven’t seen any install tips or even much explanation as to exactly why...

PSA for those with Aftermarket Exhaust

Thanks @UNBROKEN and @MrBigglesworrth for the input. I can also tell I have some water at the bottom of the DP’s as I can see the nasty stainless/exhaust drippage spots on my garage floor. Do you or anyone else have any thoughts on adding weep holes somewhere closer to the DP’s in addition to...

PSA for those with Aftermarket Exhaust

I’ve been meaning to post on this issue for awhile. I have CVF DP’s and a Thermal 3” exhaust, and there’s definitely water in there since the ST sees more than its fair share of in-town trips. I’d greatly appreciate it someone provide some input on how many weep holes I should drill, what size...

Thermal 2.5 or awe 3" exhaust....

Have had both Thermal exhausts. Zero drone with either, including later after I added CVF downpipes.

    Tire Pressure Monitor fault

Just curious, did they replace the sensors under warranty? I recently had to have two TPMS sensors replaced on my ‘21 with 27K miles, and the dealer charged me over $400 with the programming. The dealer claimed the TPMS sensors are a wear item. Seems like BS to me since they’re a federally...

    Borla or Thermal

I dunno. Maybe I’m just tolerant of noise, but I personally think the Thermal 2.5” is very high quality but is basically how this should have sounded from the factory. Meaning it sounds good, but is definitely closer to OEM sporty sounding vs something aftermarket with other cars that I’ve...

    Borla or Thermal

Easy answer with the Thermal is that it’s near silent at constant/highway revs.

    Rear ford emblem removal

I like your idea, as I had to pull much harder than I was comfortable with to get the emblem off because of the metal clips (I had already heated up the emblem quite a bit with a heat gun). You should consider fishing the post pieces out. The interior hatch trim panels just pop right off with...

Installed intercooler, need help ID-ing these bolts

Thank you for the reply! I should have mentioned those since the bolts you’re referencing are the probably the closest to the two I’m referring to in this install. That’s not them though. The fender to bumper cover bolts were really easy to identify since they had a gallon of thread lock on them...

2022 IC Upgrade - Rivets underneathe

Not completely necessary, but I personally drilled the holes out one size larger and then installed M5 stainless nutserts in the holes so I can add stainless screws.

Installed intercooler, need help ID-ing these bolts

Hi all, Last weekend I installed a CV Fabrication intercooler, AFE intake, one step colder plugs and a blacked out front emblem. Try as I might to be careful, I ended up with two extra bolts. They are black, 5mm x 30mm with a 10mm head and captured washer (pictured). I tried to keep the screws...

    Aftermarket Downpipes and Stock Exhaust

Oh that’s funny. I’ve done all my own work exclusively for many years now, but was considering sitting this one out and letting someone else handle the install if the price isn’t too terrible. I’m fortunate enough to have access to a 4 post lift, so I may just have to bite the bullet and drive...

    Aftermarket Downpipes and Stock Exhaust

Would you mind PM-ing me who did the install and what it cost? I’m up in Nashville, but may make the drive down to your neck of the woods if there’s a good shop down there.

    Drive problems using spare tire

Just curious OP, do you run wheel spacers? I ask because the steel spare provides less clearance for the original studs vs the 21” aluminum wheels, so the point that they can hit the backside of the the steel wheel. I suspect it’s the AWD system freaking out as was suggested, but thought throw...
