    Thinking about an explorer ST

I'm pretty sure because of last year's serious Sync update issues, there won't be any more for the existing Sync 3 that we have. The new 2025 Explorers have Ford's new Digital Experience which is pure Google/Android and works better on a 14 inch horizontal or landscape screen. I'm looking...

    Rear camera recall

It took mine a year about 10,000 miles for the blue screen to first appear. Then after the first recall, the camera replacement fixed it until it reappeared about a year later.

    Rear camera recall

I had this recall completed 2 weeks ago and it works great now! No more blue screen and rear brake assist errors.

    Transmission build date

Mine had this problem at about 25K miles and now at almost 49,000 miles, so far so good. The problem has not recurred. My transmission was rebuilt not replaced.

    Mishap

I know the feeling! A black car or a object dinged my passenger front door above the handle. It's a weird crescent shaped black ding. No idea where it happened last weekend. I was able to rub out the black mark but the ding really bothers me. I have to stop looking at it. People who aren't into...

360 Degree View Camera Alignment using FDRS

They replaced the rear camera and wiring harness. The camera image on the new camera is a higher quality than the previous one and also looks way better than the other 3 cameras now. As for the alignment, it seems a bit off but better than before. I may mention it the next time I am there.

360 Degree View Camera Alignment using FDRS

I'm at the dealership now for the blue screen camera recall. Hopefully it's a permanent fix this time and they align mine which have also been off since the last recall 2 years ago.

    Rattling

Mine was replaced about a year ago after it broke. It's broken again and out of warranty. It seems Ford didn't redesign the part so no point in paying my $100 deductible only to have it break again. So I used black gaffer tape to keep it together.

    No red brake calipers

Those come in Street Pack with the larger black 21 inch wheels and tires and larger performance brakes.

How-To: Swap Bench 2nd row to Captains Chairs with Console

Doesn't the XLT seat look different as far as the leather material and contrast stitching compared to the ST's?

    A New Sync Issue

All of those issues you described and more I had on 22251 until I updated last September to 23188. I endured 4 or 5 months of that crap until they updated it and fixed it. It was running out of memory space because the cache folders were getting full.

    Headlight Condensation

I've seen videos where they use a hair dryer to dry it out then reseal it.

Right side rattle at highway speeds

Mine just started recently on the passenger side over bumps and high speeds over 45 MPH, it is high pitched like a squeaking or whistling. The left side has more of a rattle which is probaably the underbody cover.

What did your Ford Explorer ST replace?

It's been over 4 years and I still miss the MKZ!

    1.5 months old, doesn't start :(

I would call roadside and have them either jump it or tow it to the dealer. You have a full warranty you should take advantage of with the ST. I've had a slew of problems from day one and roadside has been used 3 or 4 times.

Engine replaced at less than 20k miles

I have 47,300 miles since December 2019, so far the engine is fine. I had the left catalytic converter replaced at 3 years and the fuel pump and battery replaced the first year and a half. I can't believe you have less than half my mileage and your car is 3 months older than mine!

    2022 Driveline Vibration 37-42MPH

I bought a Lincoln back in 2010 that was a year old and they had not reset the Sync, so I saw all of the previous owner's information, including name, address, contacts, etc. This was before my 2020 which has the FordPass app. My 2013 Lincoln was reset when I bought it at 2 years old, so no old...

Driver Lower Seat Panel - Outboard Side

I honestly think they damaged it when it was in for service and on the lift last summer and it just got worse over time. I don't think they redesigned the part because mine is a 2020 and the part was replaced late 2022 3 years after production and it broke again. It's a poor design and cheap...
