Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

I understand. Well that's good to know. I just wish I could completely switch over the DRL's to the turn signals and be able to access that through my car like the normal white ones, like turning them on and off whenever I want, and having them on day and night like the police interceptor, and...

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

I haven't felt comfortable enough to mess with anything more than the simple changes. I'd like to try this but I have some questions if you don't mind. So doing what you did, that will cause the desired effect by having the amber lights on as DRL's? if so, will the stay on at night too...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

where can I find those? I've dealt with that rattling for so long and hate it.

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

Don't be sorry, happy to help. So the only thing you can do is set it up so that the normal drl white lights are on and the turn signals stay in with them. Then when you use a turn signal there's a slight delay, the white drl shuts off on that side, then the turn signal blinks on that side...

Police interceptor headlights in Civilian ST

Just a short background. The interceptor headlights use the amber turn signals as DRL instead of the long white strip and I just love the look. I've tried everything in forscan to make them work in the way because there are options but have not succeeded. Just out of curiosity. Does anyone...

    LOOKS LIKE POLICE VECHICLE

I see you put the sensors on the push bar. Can you go into any details. Did cruise control work right off the bat or did you have to do something for that? How did you move the sensors?

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

Not that I know of. DRL's are only meant to be on while driving for most vehicles. If the turn signal function worked as intended with the "DRL, Turn, and on position" it would stay on, but that's the mystery right now as how to get that to function properly.

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

You just need to turn on the left and right lamps. If you use the drl with turn signals that should keep the drl white lights on when you use the turn signals and it makes it harder for other cars to see your signals. I'd keep that inhibited but that's just my opinion.

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

It only works in the daytime. There's no way for the turn signals to stay on at night.

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

you'll need to find right front turn lamp usage and left front turn lamp usage and switch those to turn and DRL. Don't set it to turn, drl AND position otherwise that's where we have the problem where it won't work as a turn signal.

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

I had it on, but i ended up turning it off because i personally didn't like the delay. Get rid of the double honk, have fun playing around with it. Forscan is a great tool. Post on here if you can find out anything yourself.

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

You can set the front turn signals on as drl. What this does is turn them on with the white drls. This only works in daytime with the auto light feature on. After dark it just goes back to normal lights at night. The turn signals will still work, but when they are on as drls with the white...

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

I'm honestly not confident enough to mess with much. I went through the bcm? Lists where i can change things back and forth. I never tried changing number or letter values of anything. It's just a shame because there's a simple toggle setting for using the turn signals as drls, but it...

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

Negative. Every available option in forscan will not allow me to use the amber lights as DRLs AND turn signals. Sadly. I still look online every so often to see if i can figure something new out though. I'll post if i ever do.

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

I started messing with several functions, like outage and things. So far no luck. If i figure it out I'll post it right away.

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

So I tested it this morning. Thanks for the original reply by the way, I missed that in forscan originally. So if you put on "Turn, DRL, and position" it works, but it won't use those lights as turn signals like it should. If you do turn and drl, it does exactly that. When doing it that way...

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

So you can turn on the turn signals as DRL. But if you put it to "Turn, DRL, and position" the turn signal function no longer works. That's the problem. You can't keep them on all the time, only with the actual DRL's. Trying to find a way around this.

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

If it's in forscan i haven't found it yet. I think the headlights are programmed differently in the explorer and the interceptor. Thank you for the suggestion though, I'll check that out. That's the best view i can find of what I'm talking about. Love that look.

Interceptor amber DRL's on Explorer St

So the 2020 and newer police interceptors have the same hazard lights as the ST, but they use those as daytime running lights in place of the long white led lights that are on the ST. My question, has anyone thought about trying to reprogram that if possible. The amber hazard lights staying...
