Trust me I agree. I had a cat back on my silverado and couldn’t believe it when I tried to put it in. Gibson made good by it and said it must of been a manufacturer error when making the pipes and had similar complaints. Who knows, who cares, it’s on there now

What I was told was actually the same issue I had with the first Gibson exhaust. Basically the inlets are the same size as the stock existing exhaust. So instead of sliding over or inside the pipe it was the same size. Sounds great though. Exactly what I was looking for. So I can’t bitch too...

I totally get where you’re coming from. This shop has been in business for 40 years and never talked about selling me anything of theirs. Said it was a good system just nothing fit correctly.

This is the second Gibson exhaust I’ve had, first time I have the exact same problem, nothing fit right and I was doing it myself. They had to mail me an entire new kit the first time around. I reached out to them about the scratched tip. “Well it’s on the car already so there’s not much we can do, give me a good delivery address and I’ll mail you a shirt”.

Well according to the shop I brought it to nothing aligns right, the tips don’t even fit in the slot it was supposed too. So I’m wondering if it was so cheap because this was all the defected pieces?

I ordered mine on the 16th. Black tips and it’s supposed to be delivered today.

So far mine says on time by the 25th. Was picked up on the 19th in California.

Do you know where I could find that shortcut? I did the same thing before on a different truck. They actually have a template on where to screw. I can’t remember where I got them from for the life of me.

Yea I’m definitely having a shop do it. I don’t have the balls to cut anything on my car lol. I just don’t trust myself. Basically all I was looking for is when I floor it there’s a rumble. Instead of sounding like a Prius launching.

Has anyone swapped the captains chairs for the bench? It’s it even possible? I regret not getting the bench now.

Exactly my thoughts. I have 3 kids so a loud exhaust isn’t in the cards for me. I wanted something that sounded like how it should have came from the factory and better looking. No one can actually like the stock muffler and tip look.

Oh I’m not complaining. Just can’t believe it. Praying it comes in 10 days

Where did you get your badges from? I was planning on doing the same thing. Really don’t want to take off the front bumper to change out emblems.
