Welcome to the Explorer ST Forum, please post an introduction

Hello everyone, I am a first time Explorer owner as well as a first time Ford owner. After doing much research, for what it was that I felt I wanted out of my next car, I just kept coming back to this model (ST). I am very pleased with my 2025 ST. I am thrilled that the aftermarket is so...

    Eibachs Installed on my ‘25

Good to know. Just to be clear, this is my first vehicle of this type, as well as my first Ford. Every previous eibach install has been on sport sedans or hot hatches (VW, Honda, Scoob), so there is a fairly low tolerance before reasonable tire saving, alignment adherent type actions are best...

    Eibachs Installed on my ‘25

Any competent alignment shop should be able to bring alignment to OE specs with the Eibachs.

    Eibachs Installed on my ‘25

It has been my experience with eibachs that they have a butter smooth ride, but in no way floaty and in every case help a lot with squat and dive. Iv'e installed 4 sets on 3 diff brands and all seem to settle more than expected, to be clear that isn't a bad thing in most cases. Is that the case...

Review: Steeda front and rear sway bars, Steeda tower brace and Eibach lowering springs installed

Thank you very much for the explanation. I will have to do a deep dive on the characteristics of airlift suspension vs coilovers to see if it's worth it to completely switch over. Many YouTube videos fiercely defend airlift as a track-capable suspension but in a body-roll prone platform like...

Review: Steeda front and rear sway bars, Steeda tower brace and Eibach lowering springs installed

I’ll be honest, I know near zero about air suspensions. From what I can guess, to raise the car, you increase pressure in the bags, which by nature, would “stiffen” the bag. In essence, raising the car, increases the spring rate. Lowering the car is the opposite A front bar would increase...

    Boosted’s “Triple C” Build

This looks clean AF! I’ve wonder how the TE’s would look on a ST. What offset are the wheels?

    Wheel setup advice

Been talked about a lot. I’ll make it easy for you, the best setup is: 22x10.5 +30 offset

Down sizing from stock 21" wheel to 20"

Spoke/face design has a lot more to do with brake clearance than 5mm offset. That’s why good wheel and brake companies both have templates available to check clearances.

Down sizing from stock 21" wheel to 20"

Again, that is down to the spoke design. My 20x9.5, +33 wheels clear just fine. But my RTR wheels were designed with big brake caliper clearance in mind.

Down sizing from stock 21" wheel to 20"

If you are planning to put the Shelby GT350 brakes on, I would go an extra 5mm on the offset. A member with 20x10.5 wheels on a +35mm offset had to use a 10mm spacer to make them fit. 30mm would most likely clear those brakes but the 25mm creates an ever-so-slightly more aggressive look.

Down sizing from stock 21" wheel to 20"

Ok, good to know, so that probably wouldn't sit flush with the fender then.

Down sizing from stock 21" wheel to 20"

You're fine with the Street Pack brakes. Even Police Interceptor rims fit over those. I have aftermarket 20s and plenty of clearance around my GT350 brakes.

Best tires and rim size for racing

Should be at +30 all around.

Down sizing from stock 21" wheel to 20"

It’s not about wheel width, it’s about caliper clearance. A 295/45r20 is a little wide on an 9” wheel, I’d bump up wheel width to 10” or 10.5”.

Best tires and rim size for racing

Very much agree, the 295/40/r20 I have on my ST's 20x10's +35mm saved my rims more than once. Driving with the R888R's will be significantly more stressful but the feeling of yeeting into a corner will be priceless. I have had a few year's of experience running 245/40ZR20 on 20x9 up front and...
