    2021 Explorer ST Headlights

I seem to recall the Aviator Hybrid trapping 2 mph more vs the ST in the 1/4 mile. Still, very close tho and very heavy indeed, about 1k lbs heavier. Congrats on the new Aviator OP, she's a beauty!

ZFG 93 tune and vehicle inspection

Are we to expect it to pass in California soon?? Fingers crossed!!!

    Door keypad issue

Dont see why would they. Its literally like leaving older car keys in the ignition. Just cant see them out in the open. Would the Ford app still turn the car on with the keys inside? I mean if the app works perfectly fine, you really dont loose any features.

    Door keypad issue

Interesting, I need to try this. Will make things easier and better for whenever I travel.

    Door keypad issue

If the Keyfob is in the car, wouldnt the door be automatically unlocked upon grabbing the handle by anyone?

ZFG: I guess I'm a fanboy now too

Any car you go wot and/or hard launches you automatically impact the longevity. Adding a tune makes it worse especially if you up the boost. It'll mainly fall on you how you take care of the car. So far from what everyone says tho, this fixes the tranny downsides which is actually a big plus

    Order confirmation

6/25 was the last day for a MY21 Production vehicle, so you literally grabbed it on the last day. OP, you'll have a MY22 vehicle.

ZFG: I guess I'm a fanboy now too

I thought the stock tranny tune skipped a gear? I remember reading it usually goes 1-3-5-7 or something along those lines. The hesitation on finding gears is the most annoying one of them all, even on Sport Mode. I drove my brother's Blazer RS, and it felt very snappy, smooth, and shifted...

    Removed features from 2022

I mean can't you just disable it with the press of one button? It's inches below from gear knob. Even then, most drive on sport mode which automatically removes that. IMO, thats a more annoying issue, not saving the previous drive mode.

    Stock fuel system e85 tuning

Not sure about Ford's ECU but my point of my post is that the ATS can achieve exactly what MikeWolfe.. It's been done on other vehicles that are not flex fuel cars as well. Yes, it will gain more power as well vs a 91 tune. About 20whp running full E85 vs 91. No sensor was needed or injectors or...

    Stock fuel system e85 tuning

This is exactly how it works with my ATS, no need for an E85 sensor. Can run a full E85 tank or 91 and the tune will adjust accordingly to the fuel being used. Car is not a "flex fuel" vehicle either. All software calibrated that tricks the ECU.

2022 Ford Explorer Adds the ST's 400-HP V-6 to More Trims

Best way to find out the weight from RWD vs AWD would be checking the weight differences on the Platinum as it currently offers both options. Can't find any on the RWD tho.

2022 Ford Explorer Adds the ST's 400-HP V-6 to More Trims

^That's what I was thinking, I mean ive seen some ST's having a lil traction issue, cant imagine how itll be for RWD ST's.

Need some opinions on Burger Tuning JB4 vs Racechip GTS

It's your money OP, you can do as you please. Just most people here and in other forums mainly prefer a proper tune from PBD or ZFG. If simplicity is your thing and are set for a piggyback tune, then by all means go for it. If it works perfectly fine for you, then even better for you.

    Ford Co-pilot 360 thread

The steering wheel doesn't lock you from steering the car nor is it hard to steer.... You can literally move the car to any lane with no issue with the pilot on.... Umm enjoying the scenery?? You're driving, you're supposed to keep your eyes on the road in front of you.... The "self driving"...

2022 Ford Explorer Adds the ST's 400-HP V-6 to More Trims

The Platinum and King Ranch are "higher" trims..... The ST Line does NOT have the 3.0T nor the digital tachometer...... Eh I mean would be nice to get more power stock but adding a tune to the Platinum/King Ranch will make it no different than a tuned ST. Im not too bothered by this, we do have...

    Towing w/ the ST

Not true, both have the same 10R60 tranny. The Hybrid Aviator and Explorer are only the only one's equipped with a 10R80MHT I believe tranny, which is slight different from the Mustang's 10R80 tranny. The new 2022 Explorer's can be equipped with a Class 4 hitch, more than likely it'll have...

    Road trip planning: MPG

I did about 330 miles on a full tank with 4 passengers + luggage, 50/50 city and highway. Mixture of Sport and Eco. I'd say you'll be fine, worst come to worst, just fill 1/4 of 91 and re-fill it with 93 when you get to the proper gas station. As long as you dont go WOT, you'll be fine.

Need some opinions on Burger Tuning JB4 vs Racechip GTS

^ Agreed, not looking for power, why even bother with a piggyback? Even with the JB4, Ford can still find out if they really wanted to and can deny your warranty. Some BMW owners had their car flagged even with the piggyback removed. I had a JB4 on my 335i, i never had any big issues but need...

    2022 Explorer St-Line

So its practically what the previous Explorer's offered on the XLT, the "Sport Appearance package". Wonder how much cheaper the RWD ST will be vs the 21 EnthusiaST. Looks like they still kept the full digital tach for the 3.0T cars
