    Extended warranty ?

My ST has been so plagued with major mechanical failures the past 5 years, that $1545 bought me peace of mind for 4 more years after the 3/36 expired. I only kept my last 2 cars, both Lincoln MKZs for 4.5 years and didn't guy ESPs. I just traded in as soon as it was out of warranty. So this is...

    Sputtering after filling up

I learned that valuable lesson after overfilling my 2013 MKZ! Now I never overfill. When it stops filling I am done at the pump. I never got it fixed just lived with it.

    Extended warranty ?

You may want to look at Anderson Koch Ford in MN. That was the lowest when I got mine 2 years ago.

    2 Dead 2025 ST’s in 8 Weeks

What you said about 2025 being rushed is what we early adopters were saying back in 2020! What a disgrace!

2025 ST. Active motion v regular seats and radio question.

Multi-contoured seats is Ford's name for "massaging" seats.

    Explorer Grille/Brush Guard

So true! I have a coworker who actually bought a helmet recently in case of earthquakes in Maryland!

    Explorer Grille/Brush Guard

OK now I'm convinced, I'm gonna get one installed on my vehicle and the same day getting myself body-armored, double-condomed, goggled and masked at all times! LOL Hell I'm throwing in gloves and steel-toe shoes 24/7! It's a dangerous Mad Max world we live in! Screw aesthetics and convenience.

    Rear End Failure

Ever since they replaced the FADA up front I started having PTU and RDU problems. Coincidence?

    Rear End Failure

Mine is doing fine with 606D installed over 2 months and 2000 miles ago. They said it was mislabeled last summer the first time they replaced the RDU.

Air flow over, under and around at 65

Yes if you don't drive it the water dries out and leaves stains and residue. I started backing into my driveway for this reason ever since 5 years ago when I bought this.

    Camera recall December 2024

A while back I had the camera replaced after the software update. So far no more issues.

Air flow over, under and around at 65

Wait you mean Ford didn't spend enough time on R&D on this Explorer back in 2019? SHOCKER! My first shock back in December of 2019 when I bought the damn thing was the fact that the hood becomes a bird bath if you park on a slight incline! Less than a year later, I found out the hard way that...

    Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power

100 more horsepower, 2 more cylinders, an an extra turbo in that ST engine means more fun, faster acceleration and more fuel consumption!

    Key Fob Question

I carry my house and work keys with my vehicle remote with keyring so I have that routine of leaving the house with phone, wallet, keys. Every day for decades. Not starting a new routine of leaving my keys with my car. I live in a state with one of the highest carjacking and theft rates in the...

    Key Fob Question

The slot for the key fob in console is for when you're battery is dead, you can still start the engine. I don't think the owner's manual ever mentions leaving the fob in the vehicle at all times. That's a user preference of some Ford owners. Doesn't mean it's intended for permanent storage.

    Key Fob Question

I will never leave the fob in the vehicle unless I was swimming in the ocean and didn't want to leave the key on the sand. That's when I use the number pad on the door. Also, this vehicle has a known flaw that the touch pad on the door sometimes goes to sleep. If that happens and the other fob...

    Key Fob Question

The fob and smart key feature is designed to never leave your pocket. Simply touch the door handle and it unlocks. Then you get in, push the button to start! BRILLIANT! After you park, push button to stop, get out, touch the lock symbol on the door handle and walk away! I've had these features...

Broken reflector lens on rear bumper

That part! I live in a state that raised insurance premiums over 40% this year, whether you had any claims or not!

2025 Ford Explorer ST Front End Popping Noises at Low Speeds

Ford designed the 6th generation Explorer to look tougher than any previous one but unfortunately it's not engineered to be very tough. In fact, after owning 5 sedans previously, this was my first truck ever and it's really pretty flimsy and downright fragile after only 55,000 miles on mine...

25 ST Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power
