You can also do a factory reset. I had to do this once about 3 years ago when I used GPS to go home from the city and the NAV map and FordPass were still showing me in downtown instead of at home.

It's in the Connectivity Settings. Everything you described is caused by the older software version from over a year ago. 23188 came out last September.

I use mine with my phone charger because it's much faster than the wireless or USB chargers by at least 50 percent.

You should be on version 23188 which came out last September and fixed most problems.

I've owned 2 Fords, 2 Lincolns, a Mercury and Infiniti. None of them had axles, fuel pump, transmission, differential, transfer case, catalytic converter, cameras, etc. replaced before 50K miles. I'm not alone. There are plenty of us out there. The only major thing that hasn't failed at this...

I would recommend getting an extended warranty. These are not known for reliability or durability. I bought one a year and a half ago when I decided to keep it for another 3 years.

Mine was rebuilt at about 25K miles. The A-clutch et al TSB thingie. It was shifting rought 6-7 gear.

Judging by the key demographics of owners on this forum, if thieves were smart they'd avoid ST drivers. I can see a vast majority of them are former or active military, former or current law enforcement officers, gun owners, badasses or mamabear/soccer moms. They'd be smart not to mess with us...

I've had so many drivetrain problems over the past 3.5 years that I'm not pushing my luck and taking it off pavement or towing anything!

Oh ok so I guess my left cc replacement took care of the crack.

I have never updated maps and last summer Ford offered a free update which I downloaded couldn't install. I kept getting an error message and gave up on installing the map update.

Don't forget the catalytic converter recall/TSB due to cracks. I've had this replacement done once already at about 35K miles.

From my expierience the wifi in my driveway takes hours and days even to complete the update. A USB download and install takes less than an hour total based on mutiple updates since 2020! I gave up years ago on trying to auto-update and install over wifi. Just log into your Ford Owner account...

Sounds like the software issue I had last year. Loss of memory and settings. Simply update to 23188 and your problems should be solved! I went through this April to September of last year until the new software came out in early September.

If it's an abrupt 6-7th gear upshift or downshift, then it's what I had at 25K miles which required a TSB to rebuild it something about the A-clutch clamp or braket.
