    EXHAUST RECCOMENDATIONS/REVIEWS

As a daily driver, I'd disagree. Suppose racing, tracking, whatever, then sure. My edge was a totally different animal with a Livernois tune, and I never did the IC. The Explorer drives better. I'd caveat it as "daily driving" or more. If it's a daily driver, what a tune provides isn't wasted...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Did my 2500-6000rpm and 0-60's today after installing revision 1. Submitting to ZFG.

2025 Explorer ST Perimeter Plus Security Alarm shock sensor installation

Thanks. I’ve seen the Ford promo through Chase and need to take advantage of that. So the system just triggers the horn if someone attempts a break-in? The install looks very straightforward, and it’s nice that it doesn’t require any dealer programming to work.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I have not. Just got by next tune back but Im out of town. Will load Monday. Looks like he wants logs on another 3rd or 4th gear pull, and then a 0-60. I can say the 0-60 I did on Thanksgiving day did not amuse the wife LOL, she wasn't expecting it, and it was full send.

    EXHAUST RECCOMENDATIONS/REVIEWS

These EcoBoost engines don’t really gain much from exhausts or CAIs — they’re already designed well from the stock form. Those upgrades are mainly for sound/looks. If you want real performance gains, tuning is the easiest way to add 40–100 hp. After that, you start getting into the bigger stuff...

    EXHAUST RECCOMENDATIONS/REVIEWS

That’s what I notice with the 2.5". Cold start sounds good, but it’s not over the top — which I appreciate since I’m leaving for work at 5 AM every day. After owning two GTs with Borla setups… those definitely had the potential to piss off the neighbors.

    EXHAUST RECCOMENDATIONS/REVIEWS

The Thermal 2.5" has a great tone on cold start and when you get on it — aggressive enough to enjoy, but not over the top. At highway speeds (around 80 mph), it’s practically nonexistent. If you’re looking for more volume and presence, the Thermal 3" is the way to go.

    Catch Can Worth It?

I installed the J&L and plan to check it around the 3k-mile mark — really curious to see what it’s catching. For what it’s worth, I only run Shell or Chevron 93 octane and stick to 5k-mile OCIs.

Drove it about 100 miles yesterday, and boy did the base tune give it some pep.

Questions for adding sub to 22 B&O

On top of that, the spare tire well works great for hiding. This was on my 2019 PP2. JL 10, JL speakers and RF amp.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Well, it’s a basic tune for testing. It also might be lugging at 2500 in 3rd gear. You’re running in manual, so it can’t downshift. So, there's a lug, then it takes off. When it takes off, the rattle immediately goes away. I’m not concerned about it; I just reported it. If the radio was on...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Had my 93 base tune available early this morning (very FAST). Just got home, loaded it, made a couple of 2500-6000rpm 3rd-gear runs, and sent them back. I did make note that there was some noticeable ping/rattle at 2500 3rd gear, when you first get on it. He should see all of that anyway.

    2025 no mods w/ ZFG 93 tune

From my reading, assume Race=approx 100, Performance=80, DD=60 and Tow=40. Oversimplifying, but it gives you an idea, where each one falls from Race. I feel like his percentages for the modes are 100% race, 90%, 60% and 40% as you reduce the tune. Once again, oversimplification from reading his...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

You've already completed a lot of the mod add-ons, so I'm not sure how much you've explored this, but here's what I've learned over the past few weeks, simplified: **Modes:** - Tow - Daily Driver - Performance (which I chose) - Race If we assume that Race provides a 100 hp increase (I'm...

    1/4 mile times

I'm now in Sport mode all the time. Normal mode is just annoying. That might change once I tune it. When I tuned my Edge ST, I spent more time back in Normal because it performed better than stock, but the transmission would never go into OD. This 7-speed/3-speed OD 10R does a lot better at...

    New engine

Just to clarify, it was a "new" motor? I've wondered how they handle this between a new engine and a used/rebuilt engine with regard to warranty.
