It remains engaged after going into drive or reverse. It only disengages when you hit the switch or step on the gas pedal.

Once you have the vehicle back, you should schedule a face-to-face with the actual owner of the franchise, I’ll bet he/she has no idea about your saga and needs to know.

On the topic, a friend made a good suggestion which I followed yesterday… Assuming your dashcam(s) record to an SD card, remove it occasionally to verify it is still saving the data. Those cards can die and then your dashcam is worthless.

My 21 is the same except for being filthy and having the connector for a hardwired trickle charger.

Mine is black and I’ve never had this experience. :rolleyes:
