So not long after buying my ‘23 brand new this past December I started having cam phaser noise on cold start. I knew what cam phaser noise is because we just had our daughters ‘17 F150 cam phasers replaced last summer. Took it to Ford Monday and was told they do think it’s the CP…I’m confused as to how/why they are bad at only 1k-2k miles on the motor?! I know it’s a known issue on the eco boosts, but had no idea the Explorer ST’s are also affected…. Now I’m wondering what else is going to go wrong with it . Anyone else have cam phaser problems?

Like you mentioned the 2.7 and 3.5 had this problem being pretty common. Very few, very very few have had the can phaser problem on the 3.0l. The cam phasers can go bad at any point.
