Hey all, thought I'd start a thread about gathering you people and your families and heading up into the mountains or over to the ocean beaches one of these summer weekends. I'm a big believer in car culture and community and I have often found a nice drive through some twisty mountain loops or a scenic cruise out to the Olympic Peninsula clears the mind and frees the soul. With all the garbage in Seattle and Portland of late, it would be a nice change of scenery and allow us PacNW people to meet and greet and make some new friends while enjoying our ST's and what they can do. Thoughts?

Interesting ... I used to belong to the Seattle Jag Club and we did a run to Mt St Helens using the roads along the eastern slope that was a gas!!

That Hwy 504 is definitely fun...ran that road with the Evo club and the local Focus ST/RS club a few times, great time and great views. Another of my favorites is I-90 to I-82 to 97 to HWY 14 along the Columbia River back toward Camas and I-5. Incredible views and twisty roads as well as (at least pre-covid) great breweries along the way to stop and take a butt-rest and get a bite to eat. I'd love to hear some other thoughts. Hwy 101 all the way around the Peninsula is also one of my favorites. I was lucky enough to catch the section of HWY that hugs Lake Crescent completely empty in my RS in March. Was SO much fun to whip around those corners. Looking forward to doing that section in the new rig.

I ride the 14 frequently on my Harley when I feel the need to escape. Great road and yes, the scenery is incredible. I did that just yesterday.

Sounds good it'll be a blast. I used to have a VW/Audi and we'd do drives all the time.
