Brass tacks, is the FenFab worth the $980? I don’t really care about anything else but Performance, so which is “better”. I did the 100,000 extended warranty so I won’t be swapping turbos etc. Currently have the Ford Performance tune and ordering the FenFab charge pipe with whatever intake I decide to go with. Next will be whipple intercooler, so all that being said. Is there a definitive “this is better” product? Strictly talking performance. TIA

Adams testing showed the AFe with a slightly larger increase in flow at the chargers over the FenFab. I’m not aware of any other independent testing done on either.

Yeahhhh I couldn’t find much of anything besides advertised numbers, take those for what they’re worth. I’ll more than likely grab the AFE because of the price. Like I said, only other things being done are IC and Charge Pipe. Maybe an oil catch, only have a tune so far

I guess the only other thing to consider is if you plan to get the hot side charge pipe also, for the time being, it’s not compatible with the aFe intake.

Why spend a bunch of money on "performance" mods and then use the Ford tune? It's not going to be able to take full advantage of the money spent.

Put that in a For Sale thread with pics. It will greatly increase your chances of selling as it's a good price!

Because I have a 100k bumper to bumper drive/powertrain warranty that I'd like to not mess with as much as possible. Picking my battles so to say, I'll be doing a different tune down the road.

i think what TMac meant was, adding the afe intake wont add any power as the ford performance tune is calibrated with the stock intake in mind. While you may get added intake sound.... i have the afe and the sound is barely noticable unless you have the windows down and are at low speeds. If you plan on sticking with the FP tune then the stock intake would be the best for now.

Any links to this testing?

My opinion? Stop looking at it and buy an HP Tuners product and get a custom tune from ZFG Racing.
