Apple Carplay Issues

This may have already been addressed in another thread.... I recently noticed that my phone will not sync with Apple carplay. I've never had this issue before and carplay always automatically synced whenever I plugged my phone into the USB port. I checked to make sure that my phone was still set up and the setting turned on in the carplay setting. Now, when I plug my phone into the USB port, nothing happens. Suggestions?

I know there is a setting to turn CarPlay on or off in the settings. Make sure that it didn’t get turned off.
Next thing I would do is just unpair your phone and redo the setup. Hopefully that would just trigger CarPlay to setup again.

Unfortunately, I tried all of that to no avail.

I'd delete the profile on your phone and connect it up again. It should ask if you want to use CarPlay with it. If that still doesn't work, I'd do a factory reset for SYNC.

I'd also make sure the USB port is working by plugging in a thumb drive of MP3s or something.

Yea go into the cars settings and delete all phones listed in the CarPlay settings of ford sync, then delete the car on your phone, and start over.

Still no luck after doing all of this. Looks like a trip to the dealership is in order for the fourth time in three months.

Have you tried another iPhone? Have you tried a reset and restore of your iPhone? Do you have the latest sync version?
I would eliminate the most thing I could before going to a dealer and odds are the will want you to call support line first for sync.

Do you update the latest version of sync through your phone or the car?

Updated the latest version of iOS and it did the trick.
