Hello,

Looking for some good old advice.
I have just installed the MBRP (x-pipe with Mufflers) exhaust on my ST, and while the exhaust tips are nice, they are a bit too large for my liking.

The exhaust tips that some with it are dual 4 inch polished. I was thinking about going down to a 3inch, like this one.

Any exhaust experts on here can help me make a decision.
Will it quiet it down and or begin to make the annoying backfire popping noise???
I'm okay with a little less sound just don't want the popping backfire effect.

Smaller tips aren’t gonna change anything.

Leave the one that you have on there. They look fine. Are they black or chrome, can’t really tell.

I wasn't sure the dual 4-inch tips would fit the ST, without melting the bumper.
Looks great, I think the 3-inch looks too small.

I dont know the 4 inch take some getting used to.
Sometimes I feel like its overkill.
I may be going to thermal exhaust anyway and those are 3.5 inches
