1. No back up camera issues
2. Less computer glitches and warning lights popping up(so many issues of this I see all the time in the fb group)
3. Transmission improvements. Less jerky, smoother.
4. Wind noise improvements. Engineer fix
5. Interior trim refinement. Plastic pieces not falling off

those are some. I mean it’s whatever you value. I’ll take the more refined car with fixes(exception being subframe) as opposed to the glamour features. Obviously I’d love to have both but nothing is perfect. But agree. Enjoy your car! They’re still the same car after all lol

OP, someone started a thread in the electronics section I think about potentially installing them.

I don’t specifically know unfortunately. There was someone in the Facebook group who works at the plant. She confirmed that it was a fix for the 22s.

Yeah I know. I will see if I can find out who it is. Or just find out what the fix was. I’m curious myself. I just didn’t push the issue when she addressed it. She said it was fixed and I left it at that.

Interesting. Yeah, well, many including my 2020 haven’t needed to go into the shop for anything. Imagine that. You must be new to the forum world, otherwise you’d know that you’ll hear more about problems than satisfied owners. Keep reading….you’ll learn.

Second that- two years on and not a single problem. A forum is always a bit skewed as out of thousands of satisfied owners, when someone runs into a problem and is looking for a solution they find a forum to look for answers. Just take a look at how many forum members who post a problem have one post. You'll only notice it if you've been on the site for awhile.

Not at all lol I know that. I’m not argue with anyone about this. The 2020s are known to have more issues. That is fact. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad car. Just first year model years often times have weird quirks to work out. Good for you, glad yours works well!

You’re right about that. I’m just saying those issues were more prevalent on the 2020s when even compared to the 21s, and now the 22s. The latter is I suppose still early to say but the 21s definitely had less issues. I’ve read so many posts on Facebook group in particular. It’s often times a 20. Not all the time though.

As if we don't have enough foolish things that people get worked up about, now a couple of people want to play "my year is better than yours"? Good grief. As far as "that is fact", give me a break. Even if you had some actual (not anecdotal evidence), the very fact that '20s have been around for much longer would be statistically more pertinent to problem reports. I mean, come on!

Wow you’re taking this to a whole other level lol no one is saying that. Stop taking this so personally. Sorry to offend you. I thought it was common knowledge the 2020s had more issues. More objective recalls would imply there are more issues no? Take a step outside and relax.

12 NHTSA safety recalls for 2020 explorer. 4 for 2021. FYI.

I am going to put out a guess here that if Ford is ever forced into a recall, that they would create their own version of diffy-stiffy for dealers to install rather than replace the sub-frame. Less likely I suppose it might be possible to create a super strong bolt to replace the one, but that could cause problems with weaker attachment points. So basically just anything to avoid replacing the sub-frame.

My 2020 ST was manufactured in September 2020, after their left footwell reinforcement, and I have had no electric or mechanical failures (knock on wood). I think the late production of a 2020 ST is the best of both worlds, no issues and still a 4-bolt. Cheers.

well tbf, if ya remove a bunch of features then you'll have less issues.. The Flintstone Syndrome... Fred never got flats... ;)

That’s great! If I could of been guaranteed a good build of a 2020, I would of taken it. Unfortunately that’s not possible.

I'm an A&P, you couldn't pay me enough to fly on anything made by AirCrash Industries.. & this is coming from a guy who thinks nothing of jumping into an 70-80year old aircraft (Unless it's operated by the CAF)


(& friends don't let friends fly Robinsons) ;)
