Good evening Explorer ST community! New member, first post so please take it easy on me. Doing a few enhancements to my baby, one upcoming is the Whipple IC swap. An experienced Ford mechanic I know suggested, since we live in Canada with crazy temp/humidity fluctuations in the summer months, adding a drain to this IC. Hoping to get some feedback on that suggestion from those that have spent some time with it in similar environments. Have you had a build up of moisture causing engine misfires? Anything at all will be helpful while I await its arrival. Looking forward to your replies and further discussions as I go down this rabbit hole!

I'm in CA so no moisture problems here, but if you're concerned do it during the install so you don't have to dissassmeble the vehicle again. Enjoy your new ST!!!

I’m in Calgary and haven’t had any issues. With the inlet and outlet being at the very top, it would take a while before anything would happen.

I don’t think a drain is a bad idea though.

Good to know, thank you. I’m still on the fence. I’d love to avoid it of course but is opening a valve once/month spring->fall that big a deal to stay ahead of future issues….will keep looking into it!
