So new to the ST deal but not new to ford or SVT! Owned the Lightning’s and all and a gen1 raptor still, but we got the wife a ST on Friday. I’m a senior master Ford tech and work at the local dealer, been with ford since 1990, so If any body needs anything that I can help on feel free to ask! So far wife loves her new ride came out of a 17 limited explorer so it’s way more vehicle then before for her!!

I got a question!! If I remove a tune and bring car in for service do red flags flash on the computer or do you guys have to really look for it? I see others having problems with warning lights for different things popping up, but dealers can’t find anything if it’s not up when you bring car in.
Congrats to your wife! Red looks great

As far as a program being a red flag not so much! We can find it if it’s still in the PCM, a lot of times we see customers bringing there vehicles in that’s had a tuner and maybe has set a code and then they take the program out and with that will erase all freeze frame and codes from the system. Makes it hard to diag, customers need to recreate the concern without the tuner installed and then take to dealer! Tuners are a love/hate thing for me, I run them in a lot of my stuff but we see a lot of issues caused by them also. If ford gets involved with a problem veh they will and have found everyone I’ve had to deal with. For the ST we bought I’ll will not run one until I know all the issues are worked out. Most of the issues we have seen so far are calibration related, minus the trans coolers and stuff like that on the base explorers. All vehs made have issues for a fact! We traded a 17 limited explorer for the ST and we never had 1 issue with it so hopefully this ST will serve my wife well!

Driveway looks like mine. I still haven't got a side by side pic of the new explorer with my 2013 Raptor.

My other rig is 2006 F250, Got it when I sold my Lightning’s, Always been a ford guy and always will be, I do own a corvette but it was my dads so it’s in the stable for life! The Raptor turned into my fishing tow rig and absolutely love it for that!
