How do you turn all of that off????
You have to do it every time you drive.

Hit the parking sensors button on the dash (by the hazard lights button) to disable the parking sensors and simultaneously disable the reverse braking assist.

Go into driver assistance settings in the menu and disable the pre collision assist features as desired. But again, you’ll have to do it every time.

The auto braking is beyond annoying. Backing out my driveway it has slammed the brakes so many times. I always think I hit my retaining wall. Can’t lie I start MF’ing every time.

It's these little annoyances that start turning me back to looking for another used vehicle.

Another thing I noticed is when the brake assist is working the brake pedal is very stiff almost feels like its not going to brake at all & then WAM slams on the brakes for no reason lol. It’s ok. Still love my ST :)

I've had the ST brake itself while backing into my garage so any times that I'm surprised when it doesn't. And then the other day, while backing out of a car wash lane after they had to close suddenly, it saved m from backing into a concrete post. So I guess I can put up with the inconvenience.

Why not turn such annoyances off?

Maybe this is a 2020 only problem that it "turns itself back on". In my 2021 you can turn all the crap off and it stays off. Its in the Settings, Driver Assist functions. The selections are persistent, meaning that they stay however you set them. The reverse braking support is the last in the menu and you scroll down to see it...

Must have been an improvement in 2021. Nice
