I followed a Ford F-150 video, and change the 4 to a 0. Seemed to work. When I changed it to a 9 my audio Bluetooth just quit working…. 0 seemed to do it for me.

Edit: Fixing auto correct.
Interesting, no Bluetooth issues for me. I’ve heard that changing to a 0 could turn off the center speaker.

Sounds like I need to try out different numbers and see what happens. I have had some weird Bluetooth music issues after messing with that one number. Not having the fake noise is nice. Wish they gave drivers the option on that though…

This car would be quite nice if
1. The cheesy, loud fake noise was deleted
2. you could open the sunroof without being beaten up
3. the rumble that hurts your head when decelerating was absent
4. the seat covers after a week of use didn't look like seats in a London Underground train
5. If, 5 years after buying my F150, Sync was better. Its not. The screen is so badly used its largely pointless.
6. it didn't need a total going over to straighten badges, fix panel gaps, openings and properly install the roof rack plastic bits. This sort of crap was why the Japanese ate Ford's lunch before. Now it will be every other builder on the planet. I would have expected this lack of quality control in a Pinto or a Yugo but its 2021.

i will buy a pc and a cable and Forscan license to kill the FENG even though I consider it Ford's flaw, the sole intention behind FENG's inclusion seems to be Ford's desire to torture its customers and rub in their faces how poorly this car is executed.

its fast, handles well and if I didn't feel like I had to wear an helmet, might be fun .

I don't hardly get any air inside the car with sunroof open. Do you have the air deflector?

No head hurting rumble out of mine.

Dirty seats? Have you washed your pants lately? If the seats are getting dirty your making them dirty, it's no fault of the seats. This coming from a guy that is always whipping his hands on the butt of his pants.

If your his disgruntled with Ford why keep purchasing Ford's?

Not dirty, just look worn out and wrinkly. 500 kms and its worse than my 2016? You really don't need to be a fan-boy for Ford If getting one of their cars that actually works is a lottery.

I traded my 2016 F150, which was a great car (except about a half dozen recalls and 6 weeks to find a leak when brand new). The Exploder was a huge mistake.

They all have issues, they shouldn't but they do. Had my Ram 2500 in the shop 12 times over 2 years, replaced the fan clutch 6 times. Dodge finally fixed there fan clutch issue and sent out a new part. Who knows how many people are driving around with there fan clutch stuck on, I had 6 vehicles in my fleet with this same issue.

So what's you problem with the sun roof open? I played with mine last night and I get very little air in the car until I push the fabric air deflector down then it's like a jet engine inside the car.

Can we stay on topic of the FENG?

And I am not a Ford fanboy, not a fanboy to anything really. You might say I'm partial to the Ram pickup but in general if it's not 4×4 with a bed on the back I really don't care what it is.

I have been doing lots of reading and mostly thanks to the F150 site I have found out that the FENG has been able to be turned off on the F150s for ages, using the dealer's diagnostic thing. Its just a matter of finding the correct page, which most dealers were unaware of, then selecting "engage or disengage." I will go and bully my dealer and if I find out more I will pass it on.

FORSCAN can probably do it. Will be messing around with it when I get my car back.

I believe I got it by changing it to 0, 9 killed my Bluetooth. Haven’t had a chance to miss with it since. I just watched a Ford F-150 video.

FORScan can definitely turn off the FENG and leave the noise canceling function on or off, depending on preference.

While in FORScan, open the configuration folder instead of the AsBuilt folder. The functions are all listed out separately so you can simply “enable” or “disable” specific functions. I turned off the double honk and enabled the nav, phone, etc function in motion from the configuration file folder. I could not turn off the auto start/stop from within the FORScan accessible modules, although it is listed in several of the modules. I’m guessing it primarily happens in the PCM module, but can’t say for sure yet.

You change the Country Code from US to another country that allows it. Many people set it to GB for England, but I’ve always set it to WS for Samoa.

Note that there are downsides for some people. The automatic 911 calling with airbag deployment function will be disabled as other countries don’t have it. I always disable it anyway for privacy. If I trip the airbags while running autocross or similar events I don’t want it calling for “help”. It will also change the spelling of some words like Favorites to Favourites so if it triggers your OCD, well...

There should be a single thread on FORScan information so it’s all in one place. Maybe one of the extreme count posters will start one and consolidate everything into one place like on other forums.

There are approximately 2000 post with the word Forscan or forscan and FORScan that run a gamut of topics on this website. If someone just types forscan in the search bar they are easy to find and they can pick a topic to research. FORZDA3 you could always start a thread and consolidate everything with FORScan in it. Here are the search results:
