Do Ford pass rewards expire?

The title says it all.
I had read that they expire after a year with no activity.
If I use partail points for an oil change does that fulfill activity and extends the window another year? I am not sure why they put a 365-day window on reward points. They are a very small perk and should not have such ridiculous limitations.
Can someone please confirm the actual facts about the reward points expiring or not.

This is something I need to look into as well. I figured my points would go to oil changes after I used up the ones that came with the purchase of the car.

I just got this message with my FordPass rewards statement yesterday.
You've got more time to use Points earned prior to 2021. Expiration has been extended until December 31, 2021.”

I'm not sure how it works either but I have an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation next week and I plan on using the 50 bucks from the reward points. Somehow I got $230 worth of reward points. I guess from just buying the car. They just showed up.

I used mine on an alignment after I installed the Steeda springs. Not sure I'll use what's left over. I DIY oil changes and going to the dealer for some parts just isn't worth my time.

I believe they expire after a year
I called Ford Pass and was told they expire after one year of inactivity on the account. Next week, I will use $50.00 of reward points for an Oil change and tire rotation. I was told that the remainder of points/rewards reset the clock for another year because I had activity on the account. I will call again on next week and see If I get the same answer from a different associate. I asked my dealer appointment scheduler about it and she was clueless. She was barely able to set the appointment. Having the points expire is ridiculous and a major fail if true. Why even bother giving them to you in the first place if they put a time limit on them? Having a year or two of free oil changes/tire rotation is a nice gesture by Ford. It should have no strings attached.
I am not sure how someone would acquire more points on a brand new car. I am not even sure how I rec'd the points I have now. They just showed up. I put around 20-25k miles a year of my daily driver. The points I have now equate to free oil changes for about 2 years. IMHO, a nice gesture. If they do expire, I will get Natalie and I Ford apparel just to use the reward points before they expire.

Can the points be used with on line Ford OE parts dealers?

Pretty sure they can. Was thinking about getting a rear cargo mat if they’ll let me do it.

Sunshade? Is that that silver thing you put in the windshield to protect the dashboard or is like the pull screen to hide items in the cargo area like in my Jeep Trackhawk?

Okay just got off with Ford customer service (4-20-21) and was told the points do not reset with activity. They expire one year after they have been issued. So now one representative told me they reset with activity and one representative told me they expire one year from date of issuance.
I don't know which is correct. Not sure what the purpose of having them expire does but annoy loyal customers.

So maybe it was a fluke or because of Covid this past year, but I got points from the purchase of the Edge ST in Aug 2019, didn't use any and used THOSE points to get the all weather mats for the Explorer in Jan 2021 (Ford bought back the Edge). I would really hope they don't expire in a year if it's good for 3 or 4 oil changes. Expiring a year from the last activity could make sense (although I was at 16 months and still had them). I also got the points from the Explorer lol.

@boosted_st ..
We all dropped over 50k on these vehicles and it's funny because we're worried about 200 bucks. Lol. For me it's the sheer principle of it. Do not give me a gift and then take it back after a year. What idiot approved that clause?
