Used a router to make a channel in the hockey puck. Screw the puck to a piece of wood to prevent it from moving while being routed. Take the routed puck, another puck, and put silicone caulk between them. I used 1 3/4" construction screws to attach them together. Tightened them enough to sink the screwhead into the puck. Haven't used them yet, but I think they'll work OK.

I think that one half of the hockey puck may be too wide to clear the plastic edge by the pinch welds. You might have to shave off the outer edges but only as test fit can tell for sure. Those are certainly better the slotted pads I bought off ebay which are too soft. NICE JOB!

You may be right, might have to get out the belt sander .LOL
